A charm pack of the very same fabrics I wished for in my last post! Had it been fat quarters, I probably would have stuck to my budget and left them there...but a charm pack? Very affordable :) I have no idea what I'll make with it yet, but right now I am happy just looking.
Monday is baking day around here, and I tried out some new recipes from this great library find...
I'm loving this cookbook. It's full of basic, yummy cakes...just the kind I like to cook :) Today I attempted my very first sponge cake...it's just waiting on the jam and cream...and some chocolate butterfly cakes, complete with mock chocolate cream. I've never made mock cream before either, but understand it is perfect for freezing...essential when you make 3dozen butterfly cakes!
Better go and clean up my mess...

Hi from NZ
Just saw your purchase of the
12 days of Christmas by Kate Spain...and remembered seeing some made up if you go to...
Dawn Hay of 'As Sweet as Cinnamon" at...http://dawnhaydesigns.blogspot.com...
she has been doing a small quilt called "Frosty Flakes" made from some of this fabric...
Hope this is of some help
Kind regards Chris.....NZ
mmmm your cupcakes sure do look tasty. Now you had better think of something that we can make with that charm pack as i gave Tracey my money to get one as well. We will leave the project up to you! Aren't you lucky.
xx
how is Riley going?
You SO needed that charm pack, especially after the previous blog post! To quote 'Anne of Green Gables' - "I call it positively providential".
Love to you, the pool boy & your cherubs xx
Great fabrics...I love butterfly cakes with mock cream...memories if my grandmother...glad you are far away or I would have to stop by for coffee & cake!
Strolling the shops and buying ANY fabric is a good day indeed! I'm loving those prints as well. Can't wait to see what you do with them!

I hope you don't mind my dropping in unannounced; I was looking back over comments from the 39 Squares stitching challenge and found myself at your site.
