Baking with Moda

A little mid-week inspiration arrived in my letterbox today...

...my much anticipated copy of Fresh Fabric Treats from the Moda Bake Shop. This book contains 16 projects, all sewn from one or more of the pre-cuts available from Moda.

In the introduction, Mark Dunn (owner and president of Moda) credits precuts with reviving the quilting industry, and I really couldn't agree more. They make the process of creating a quilt so much more fun...having every piece of a fabric range at your fingertips is great, not to mention the decorator appeal of a jelly roll :) Pre-cuts have certainly revived my passion for quilting!

If you've never visited the Moda Bake Shop...you really should! Lots of inspiration, all available for free and in an instant. Gotta love that! For me though, a new quilting book is always irresistable :)

Off to do a little reading...and a little dreaming...

I've always been terrified of quilting but absolutely in love with Moda ... so building up a stash and the confidence to try my hand! Moda pre-cut fabrics are absolutely beautiful and I've used them on everything from notepad covers to flower pins! I love your gardening quilt, would love to see more :) x Stacey
