Mothers Day at our house :)

There's something special about Mothers Day, isn't there? Spending the day reflecting on what it means to be a Mum, with children trying very hard to be on their best behaviour :) Then of course, there is breakfast in bed...mmmm, yummy pancakes with maple syrup, fresh orange juice, and a cup of tea. Handmade cards, with beautiful words of thanks. Then there are the gifts...

...I spent all morning playing with this! Rearranging my craft desk to find the perfect spot for it...

...pulling out my cottons and organising them into colours for each little cupcake case...then changing everything around in my bookcase now that my brad jars have a new home :)
When I finally got out of my jammies, we filled my new thermos mug and headed off for a picnic to Yanchep National Park.

Lots to see up that way! We bushwalked, took lots of photos of wildlife, snacked on mudcake, and decided a day trip would be in order next time...too much to see in one afternoon! I even handed my hubby the camera to capture a Mothers Day shot with the kids...

...uh...Merryn? What is THAT face? LOL...captures her perfectly, really.
Hope your Mothers Day has been wonderful!

Gasp! Your cake/craft stand looks beautiful all filled with bits and pieces. The photo with your cherubs is gorgeous, I especially love the polka dot shirt you are wearing :)
