Paper Doll, bags and snuggles :)

I was lucky enough to receive the brand new Crate Paper collection called Paper Doll to play with for Scrapsidaisy this week...and I think it was made just for me :)

Pinks, lime greens, turquoise and reds, mixed with the cutest diecuts and stickers...I squealed with delight when I opened the package! I plan to make many, many LOs with this range, but thought I'd show you one to start :) As you can see, I couldn't resist using little bits of each of the papers...they are so gorgeous!

I wanted a soft, homey sortof look to match this precious photo of my hubby's cousin and her divine baby girl, so used stitching, distressing, buttons and a patchwork effect with the patterned papers. If you need some of these goodies (you know you do!) go here. I've used the diecuts, and papers called Addi, Emma, Peyton Ellie, Olivia Grace and Katie.
I've also been busy doing a little sewing...

I'm pretty sure I promised to show you what I bought when I visited Calico and Ivy (not last time but the time before with Lisa and Janelle), but sortof forgot to take a pic. Now I can show you what I made with the fabrics...this yummy bag! Polka dots...so predictable. I used the Hollys Bouquet pattern by Janelle Wind, and love the way it turned out (even though it's a bit smaller than what I was expecting). Can't wait to make another one at a little crafty get-together this Friday night ;)
And just before I go, a scene that totally warmed my heart this morning...

...my oldest and youngest snuggled on the lounge, wrapped up in Riley's dressing gown together. Don't you just love cold mornings?
