Project Life 2012 - Week Two and a little stitching :)

Hello Week Two...how weird it feels to be typing that after being in the Week Fifties just a while ago :)

I  well and truly recovered from my PL stage fright of Week One, and dived head first into my Olive Kit for this weeks pages...how gorgeous are the greens and pinks? And chevrons? Yummy.

I've had no problems filling the pages with photos, as we are still in school holidays here in Australia and the kids are around every day, sometimes with friends...prime photo opportunities!

Embellishments were found in my little containers again...seriously wondering why I didn't think of doing this years ago. It's inspiring! I stamped some journal boxes to place on top of the photos, and used my Cuttlebug to cut some journal shapes and letters as well...trying to use some of my tools a bit more ;)

Quite a bit of journaling made it onto the actual cards, and a little more inside the long journaler. There is good variety of cards to choose from in the Olive Kit, and I'm envisaging lots of different colour combinations in just that kit alone.
I'm trying to squeeze every last bit of crafting that I can out of my holidays...I go back to work mid-week, and I can feel that clock ticking!

Knocking over the Mystery Block of the Month was a must...they seem to arrive so quickly, and are so fun to make. This one was designed by Sandy Gervais and is called Moonlight Serenade.

It came together really nicely, and I love the simplicity of the red polkadots with the other prints...but then, we all know how I love red polkadots!

Hope you are keeping cool and staying safe...my thoughts are with all those threatened by fires in this hot hot country of ours...scary times :(

Great colour choice for the PL, I love green and pinks too....I have a 12 yr old daughter who's room is always a disaster zone - I think she is always in the creative mindset...
Love your block, makes me want to do more farmers wife blocks...
