Searching for my inner Cathy Z...without success!

I have been a big fan of Cathy Zielske for almost as long as I've been scrapping. I love her simple designs, I love her philosophy on scrapbooking, I love her writing style, and I love her books. I used to think that if I could scrap like Cathy Z, I would be one very happy scrapbooker. In fact, my style used to be VERY simple, and I was happy with that.

Fast forward a few years, and things have changed! No longer am I satisfied with really simple, story + photo LOs. I think it's a result of teaching scrapbooking, which is more about technique and product, than story and photos IYKWIM? I also find it very difficult to resist the urge to stitch on every LO, which is NOT a feature of CZ's style (that I have noticed, anyway :))

To get to the point....I tried to keep this LO simple, really I did. But the urge to stitch, and distress, and stamp a little, got the better of me.

The photo doesn't really do it justice, but there's some stitching on there! (Have you ever tried taking a photo of a LO in the middle of a sunny day? Quite a tricky thing to do!)
Now, don't get me wrong here...I am very happy with the way I scrap at the moment...just can't believe how much my style has changed in the last little while. I guess that's what's great about this hobby, the way you evolve as a scrapper, and the changes that happen over time :) If you've read Cathy Z's latest book, you'll see how much HER style has changed from her first book, too :)
It's all good!
The "stuff" I have used on this LO is all available at Tomorrows Memories...check out the Urban Lily papers, they are yummy!

I wouldn't worry too much about finding the inner Cathy Z, your inner Suzitee ROCKS! Btw - would you believe that our Christmas card of the week uses that very same Urban Lily paper (I made the card on the weekend) - my eyes almost popped out when I saw you had used it too!
